Food Chain
Work made after returning from a field trip to rural properties in central-western Queensland, including Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary. The region was undergoing a prolonged dry spell, and is part of the Great Artesian Basin, where many communities and properties depend on bore water for their viability. Here an image taken through rolled fencing wire at Bowra is projected into the artist's kitchen, where, in suburban Meanjin, an unfailing supply of domestic water is taken for granted.
Printed digital image, oxides, fencing wire, welded steel, acacia fragments.
